Submission Guidelines |We are receiving submissions| TWF

April 17, 2018 TWF Editor 5 Comments

Here comes the platform you have been waiting for: The Words Finesse (TWF).

TWF is Your One Stop trusted Home for promoting Literature of both emerging and established generations of writers and authors world wide.

We receive submissions any day, any time on any theme.

We're receiving your original well worded and well edited pieces from all genres of creative arts, including but not limited to poems, short stories (Fiction/Non-fiction), short drama, literary essays, literary critics and other experimental works in Arts and Literature.

You can start submitting your works from any where in the world to thewordsfinesse@gmail.com for review.

When submitting, ensure your mail subject bears:
Submission|Category of the work|Title|Author's name starting with First name.
E.g. Submission|Poetry|Addiction is a curse|Akin Yunus Ebuka.

If you're submitting more than one title in a Category, pick the title of the first work, then include "and other(s)."

Submission to our mail is only entertained for a single Category tag. For instance, if you're submitting a poem and a short story (which means two works of different Category tag), you will need to forward two separate mails to us, with each submission bearing its Category tag: as in Poetry or Short story and their likes. Tag for Experimental Catogory should be "Neo".

The body of your mail should include: your submission (in case you're not sending it as an MS word attachment), 50 words biography or less, writer's photograph (which is optional), and other information that could increase the chance of featuring your work. Thus, writing pitching sentence(s) about your work(s) won't be a bad idea, though, it's not compulsory.

Make sure your work is neatly typed and formatted. We shall vet works to publish.

Works following a style or a specific format (e.g shape/concrete poetry) are advised to be submitted as MS word attachments to thewordsfinesse@gmail.com. Doing this will help in maintaining such work style/pattern when selected for publication.

Multiple submissions are welcome.

We shall try to reply your mail, especially, when your work is published or scheduled for publication. Note however that responding to your mail or not does not guarantee or deny your work(s) for or from being featured.

You own copyrights of your works. However, if you submit to us and your work is finally selected and featured, you owe us acknowledgement as first to publish your work when used elsewhere.

We wish to pay for your submissions but we cannot afford it currently.

  1. Greetings! I recently saw your post about the Arkansas emerging writer's prize! I joined your website! I have a work that i would like to submit but I am not sure if I can have it finished by the deadline in October! It is a fiction novel ten chapters long! I am in the process of editing it in English! My friend from France whom I have been writing the book with passed away last year! I want to finish ur work and his dream of having it published one day! He is a brilliant writer!
If I can not have it finished in time for this particular contest will you have others I can enter coming up? Is this contest one that you have every year?
    Thank you for your reply!

    1. Hi Jilie A. Peterson,

Sorry for your loss. It's a good thing that you will like to fulfill the dream of your departed friend.

Our site don't run the contest you enquired about or any at this moment. May be, we will run one or more in the nearest future.

Be rest assured we won't stop sharing opportunities with you on our site. So don't hesitate to visit at any time to either submit or read our posts, as you will stumble on many other publishing opportunities, hopefully before or when you're completed the manuscript.

For further enquires you have in relation to Arkansas, kindly contact: The Arkansas International @ Kimpell Hall 333, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville; AR 72701 or you direct your mail to info@arkint.org.

Hope that you find this helpful.

      Regards,
